Siiri Morley
Siiri Morley is a Founding Partner with Prosperity Candle, a Massachusetts-based for profit social enterprise dedicated to empowering women to rebuild their lives through candle-making. Siiri Morley is a tenacious and energetic social entrepreneur with a background devoted to creating social impact for women worldwide through entrepreneurial business development. She has consulted for women-led businesses and to larger international development organizations, consumer products companies and consulting firms. Throughout, she has been devoted to using tools from the private sector to advance women’s empowerment. Her expertise ranges from partnership development, marketing and sales, communications to social impact measurement and artisan business training in Africa, Latin America, Europe, Asia & the United States. Siiri’s personal mission is to bridge divides in existing silos to create more effective, long-term social change for women through commerce. She believes in the power of partnerships and finding a role for each individual in a team to overcome obstacles. She blends her expertise in fair trade, social enterprise and international development to lead Prosperity Candle in its mission to empower thousands of women entrepreneurs in distressed regions.
While working on her MBA, Siiri served as Co-President for the Brandeis Net Impact Chapter, consulted on social impact measurement to design firm IDEO, and interned at Preserve, an eco-friendly consumer products company. Prior to entering business school, Siiri was an export specialist and project associate at DAI, an international development consulting firm. Siiri has worked in Afghanistan, Croatia, Ecuador and Kenya, and was a business capacity development advisor with the U.S. Peace Corps in Lesotho, where she focused on women’s enterprise development. She has an undergraduate degree in International Studies and Anthropology from Kenyon College and an MBA from the Heller School at Brandeis University. Siiri lives in Boston with her husband and puppy.
